Finding My Model Number

Finding the correct model number is one of the most important steps when ordering appliance spare parts. Many parts look similar, but small model differences can mean a part will not fit.

The model number is usually printed on a sticker or rating plate attached to your appliance. It may include letters, numbers, dashes, slashes or a combination of these.

Before checking the appliance itself, we recommend looking at the manufacturer’s instruction manual, warranty card or original purchase documents, as the model information may also be listed there.

Important safety note

Only check areas that are safe and easy to access. Do not move, dismantle or disconnect appliances from gas, electricity or water supplies unless it is safe to do so. If the appliance is built-in, hard-wired, connected to gas or difficult to access, we recommend contacting the manufacturer or a qualified technician.

Washing Machines

On washing machines, the model number is usually found:

  • On or around the inside of the door frame
  • Behind the door, near the rubber seal area
  • Behind the removable kickplate panel at the bottom of the machine
  • On the back of the appliance, if safely accessible

The label may also include a serial number, product code or service number.

  • On the back of the appliance, if safely accessible

If your dryer has a removable filter area, check around the filter housing carefully.

On ovens and cookers, the model number is usually found:

  • On the inner edge of the oven opening

For freestanding cookers, the label may also be found on the side or back, but only check these areas if it is safe to access them.

Hobs

On hobs, the model number is often found:

  • On the underside of the hob
  • On the side or back of the hob unit
  • Near the connection area underneath the hob
  • In the installation manual or original product documents

Because hobs are often built into the worktop and may be connected to electricity or gas, do not remove or disconnect the hob yourself. If the label is not visible, check the manual or contact a qualified technician.
