Description

Replacement thermostat and thermal cut-out kit suitable for selected Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool, Ariston, Creda and Proline tumble dryer models.

The thermostat kit monitors and controls the temperature inside the tumble dryer. It contains a cycling thermostat that regulates normal drying temperature and a one-shot thermal cut-out that acts as a safety device if excessive temperatures are reached. A faulty thermostat can cause the dryer to produce no heat, run too hot or leave clothes damp after a complete cycle. 

Common symptoms of a faulty thermostat or thermal cut-out:

  • Tumble dryer running but not heating
  • Clothes remaining damp after a full cycle
  • Dryer producing cold air
  • Dryer overheating
  • Heating cutting out unexpectedly
  • Excessively long drying times
  • Heater not operating correctly
